Sea Glass

P1080248P1080255 Our friend Kyle introduced us to sea glass hunting. It’s a curiously addictive pastime; and a good excuse to spend a few hours with friends at the beach.

Port Townsend is a prime location. Apparently there was a garbage dump close to shore around the turn of the century; the remnants of which are now slowly washing back up, transformed to things of beauty. A nice example of upcycling. Wendy found this stunning chunk of green glass, one of the nicest finds of the day.

Before leaving for home we sampled some fine beers at the Port Townsend Brewing Company.
