Farm Fresh Eggs

IMG_3333We recently got our first CSA subscription via our bee-keeping mentor Casey Paul. He is joint-owner and farmer of a 5 acre vegetable growing operation near Seattle (Hand-Farmed Organics). The actual CSA deliveries have not yet started, but we already received a dozen eggs from the flock of chickens they keep on the farm; and delivered to our door by Casey himself, no less. Now that’s what I call  staying connected to your food sources.

The chickens are currently eating the rye grass cover crop; and an abundance of bugs too, no doubt. These eggs are gorgeous – and mighty tasty.
