Eating Super-Local

Eating local is all the rage. What’s better than that? Super-Local! – meaning ingredients come from within a 1 mile radius. Today’s breakfast fit the bill pretty nicely:

  • eggs from our neighbor’s backyard coop
  • strawberries and black currants from our garden
  • home-made sourdough rye bread
  • home-made yoghurt

OK – the coffee was not grown in our backyard.

Local has become a bit of a fad. But it is very satisfying to eat food you’ve produced yourself. And tasty too!
